Because most of our programs are free we need your help. With the help of our family and friends we are able to bring a stage to all types of artist (painters, musical talent, designers, etc.)
Ode 2 Brooklyn
Ode 2 Brooklyn started as being a fashion event that will showcase talent mainly from the community of Brooklyn, NY.
The creative directors and Brooklyn natives Amoni B. and Sade "Ashley" McClendon have worked together from April 2013 to September 2013 for New York Fall Fashion Week 2013. However, these ladies have been social responsible and in entertainment for years prior to meeting one another. After there term for Fashion Week ended, and remaining in contact, they realized they had similar interest in the cause and the idea of Ode 2 Brooklyn formed. While brainstorming the idea of the show and kept developing until it was made into a solid plan by mid September 2013.
On July 26, 2014 in Brooklyn, NY Cypress Hills, ENY we held our Poetry is Life Event. Performers included Ifa Tu Much, Sade Ashley & Amoni B. We were able to raise $55. AWESOME!! Vive Entertainment Enterprises, LLC sponsored and Brooklyn Billionairez provided the space Thanks to Stepanie & Cherae for hosting the aftermath. Special thanks to Ricky for the speakers. and a big thank you for all that came and may have provided assistance in any way. Our turn out was great during the performance we had 20 guest and for the aftermath sparatically about 40 others came.
Our First Fashion Event show was on May 24, 2014 at Highland Park. We barbequed and provided frefreshments. We featured raffles of cosmetics, jewelry, music and more for $1 , $5 , and $10. Our sponsors included Victory & 2 Versatile Clothing, Victory Outreach Ministries, Lyne Carmel Joseph, and Vive Entertainment Enterprises, LLC. The Clothing Designers included 2 Versatile and Brooklyn Billionairez. Our Entertainment was a poetry performance by JuJu and a hiphop performance by Victory. A special thanks to DJ H Blendz who provided equipment, music, and DJing.
Ode 2 Brooklyn pays homage to Brooklyn and other urban communities with its variety of Cultures while creating a platform for new and up and coming talent (i.e.: fashion designers, performing artist, visual artist, under appreciated teens and adults)
